how to do macro photography?

How to do mobile macro photography?

picture from poco F1+ 25 mm macro lens

There are few things to notice for mobile macro photography.

1. Phone and camera sensor

First this is always a good camera phone. If you are buying phones ,buy Android phone  with best camera sensor available .like Sony IMX series . Most of the Sony sensors in budget range also good for macro photography.with snapdragon processor is recommended because we can use good ported gcam with snapdragon phones. With mediatek there is less gcams available.stock camera apps also good but some of them are overly saturated.gcam can give true colors (need to check which gcam is better for your phone )

2. Macro lens

There are wide range (25mm-100mm) of macro lenses available in market. Most of them are branded and some of them not branded.  Branded lense you can buy from Amazon , Flipkart like e-commerce sites. Apexel ,skywick are examples .other lenses are sold by people in this hobby in their own groups with limited stock.

Lenses are choosed according to the situation. Some insects are too small to capture in that case we need to use extreme macro lenses (25mm or less) . If we have bigger insects or flies we need bigger lens(40-50mm). It's up to user. So i suggest multiple lenses in collection. Otherwise we can't capture full size of the object.

3. Editing software

There are plenty of softwares available to edit macro pictures.  Most common is photoshop and Lightroom. Adobe Lightroom mobile app is very easy to use which i prefer the most to reduce noice and tweak pictures with presets.

4. Patience

Only people with similar interests can follow macro photography. It's not easy. It take time and patience to capture pictures because most of the time insects or flies keep moving around. So need to follow them untill they rest for a second. Only limited time we get to make the clicks so capture more pictures. Atleast 20 to get 1 or 2 good pictures.

Steady hands or tripod can keep the focus in picture. Make sure don't shake phone. Breathing techniques also helps .hold the breath for few seconds while clicking. It works some times.

Sharing some macro pictures I took with phone
