Google's new privacy update is coming in Android 18! 🔒📱

Android Community Manager Mishaal Rahman stated on X (formerly Twitter) that Google is preparing to make contact access much more secure on Android.

From now on, apps will not need access to all the information in your phonebook just to save a new number.

Instead, you will be able to securely save individual contacts using a system-level interface.

At the same time, essential contact management apps like dialers and backup tools will continue to get full access through special permissions. This is a much more secure change.
